The Freitag Store was the main inspiration for my container house design. My design would use 40’ lengths instead 20’s and would only be three stories. On bottom floor, instead of a block of four as you see here, I would just run two perpendicular on the edges, making for an open carport/garage/workspace. The second floor would be four as seen here, containing kitchen, living room and perhaps an office or guest bedroom. The third floor would be two as here, with a big master bedroom and bath, with a series of sliding glass doors leading to the deck/roof of the second floor.
