On September 22, 1994, the first episode of Friends aired. If it came out today, it would be pretty much the same except that they’d all be on meds so that the young people of the 21st Century could better relate to them. Oh, and they’d each have a Tumblr:

—Phoebe would have a personal one with non-strident Social Justice overtones.

—Monica would have a food blog featuring recipes and lots of yummy pictures. Eventually, she’d migrate over to Pinterest, Land of Pretty Desserts.

—Rachel would have a fashion Tumblr that she gets bored with after a few months and abandons.

—Ross would have a serious, science-oriented one. He would get lots of reblogs, but hardly any reads.

—Chandler’s blog would be a mishmash of memes and jokes. Periodically, he’d be cornered into apologizing for his humor. Eventually he’d delete, being, after all, the smartest of the Friends.

—Joey would have a gay porn blog because, come on, who’s kidding who?
